Tip = bill × tip% · Per person = (bill + tip) ÷ people
In the US, 15–20% is standard for table service (20% for good service) and ~10% for takeout. Tip on the pre-tax subtotal if you prefer; many people tip on the total for speed. Rounding up a dollar or two is always welcome.
